AUDITIONS FOR

Nutcracker in a Nutshell

Sunday, August 30th, 2026

  • 1:15 - 1:45: Dancers age 7-12, who have not started pointe or begun classical technique work. Must attend at least one ballet class a week.

  • 2:00 - 2:45: Dancers age 11 and older who have less than two years of pointe work and non-pointe Adults. (Dancers will not be auditioning on pointe)

  • 3:00 - 4:00: Dancers age 13 and older who have completed two years of pointe work and/or two years of partnering experience, adults on pointe will audition with this group as well.

All dancers must be attending at least one ballet technique class a week during the 2026 - 2027 season.

Place

  Thomas School of Dance, 193 Union Street, Bangor, Maine

Bangor Ballet invites dancers from area dance schools to audition for Nutcracker in a Nutshell!!!

 

Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your scheduled audition time to fill out 

paperwork.

Please bring a list of all rehearsal/date conflicts with you.

Dancers under age 18 must have a parent with them to sign release forms. 

 All listed conflicts and paperwork are due at the time of audition.
